Business Development Executive - Office Furniture Decommissioning Services Firm

The company and are continuing to go through tremendous growth and they are looking for an experienced Business Development Executive for the DC area.
 
The position:
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the primary responsibility is to sell their services to corporate real estate executives at Fortune 500 companies in North America New business development: Generate and manage a sales funnel, from prospecting through to closing Existing account development: Work within an extensive book of government and blue-chip accounts to re-energize and expand existing relationships Lead processing: Ensure seamless handoff of copious inbound inquiries sourced via existing partnerships, conferences, media mentions, and other marketing channels Networking: Attend industry events to grow your professional network and awareness of the company; developing relationships with existing partners and business channels Reporting: Rigorously maintain sales tracking and reporting, including collaboration with wider sales team at monthly meetings. Collaborating: Work with Operations department to create winning proposals. Traveling: Meet with clients, subcontractors, and partners within North America as required (25% time allocation)  
About You:
Minimum 10 years’ experience in commission-based B2B sales, including prospecting, presenting and closing business Experience in one or more of the following sectors: corporate real estate & facilities; sustainability consulting and/or commercial furniture and design services Developed professional network of corporate real-estate professionals, specifically within the DC and surrounding area Comfort and competency with independent business travel Exceptional ability to build and manage relationships Exceptional presentation and communication skills Motivated self-starter and team player Additional bonus if you have Project management experience; PMP or CAPM and Industry involvement within organizations such as IFMA, CoreNet, IIDA, BIFMA.
