Here at BSI we are seeking a Business Development Manager focussing on Medical Device products and Services.

The key responsibility of this position is selling the BSI portfolio of products and services to new and existing customers within the Regulatory Services – (Medical Devices) across a defined geographical area. I would love to here from those who are based in the Malaysia (home based).

The primary responsibility is to identify and develop sales opportunities, by gleaning an in-depth understanding of clients’ business needs and drivers through a thorough, structured business review. Equally as important maintaining those relationships and fostering those long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities :

The key areas of responsibility for the Business Development Manager include: 

Proactively engaging with existing customers to account manage and sell additional BSI products.Identifying new prospects and growing the BSI customer base through targeted calls and visits with the aim of generating profitable revenue across the BSI product portfolio.Demonstrating fluency of their territory through the preparation of business plan that includes a clear and workable backward plan including the necessary prospect and client activity to generate the required profitable portfolio revenue.To accept responsibility for the timeliness of delivery in line with the customer’s expectations at point of sale.Routinely review sales activity and quality KPIs to ensure sufficient contingency planning to deliver quarterly and annual portfolio targets.Product knowledge, ensuring you remain up to date with developments in the standards industry and be able explain the standards development process to customers.Possess a deeper and wider knowledge of the products/services of BSI and their application to specific customer sets. Use reporting function of sales tools to aid account management and new business development.Able to present to key decision makers and larger audiences. Design and deliver presentations to small scale conferences. Effectively convey complex ideas and business proposals showing breadth and depth of BSI product offering.Effectively engage with all appropriate decision-makers. Define range of possible negotiation prior to customer engagement. Pre-empt possible objections and articulate solutions when appropriate. Use experience to provide alternative perspective to objections.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

Experience within a Notified Body / Medical Device environment;Have a a history of meeting/exceeding targets and expectations;Expertise in B2B sales and winning new customers;Excellent sales, negotiation and presentation skills;Ability to develop executive level relationships and engage with the customer to establish an understanding of their business drivers and how BSI can enable them to become more efficient;Experience with CRM tools, e.g. Salesforce.Local hire only.
