The Business Development Manager has primary responsibility for directly managing existing customer relationships and seeking new customers in current or adjacent markets. This role will have a key focus on growth and identifying value propositions for our customer base and will also support proposal execution.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Achieve assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in designated accounts Develop, maintain and expand relationships with key strategic partners, industry leaders, and PCC staff. Identify new customers within designated accounts and regions Maintain knowledge of market trends, competitive actions, product needs, and customer base to support company objectives Represent the entire range of company products and services to customers Work with business units to develop and execute consistent customer strategies Assist business units with customer account planning & forecasting Assist business units with resolution of customer issues Provide consistent follow-up and feedback on opportunities Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis Provide market updates to business units for designated customers and regions Give high-level presentations to customers and creates sales presentations in support of leadership. Conduct day-to-day sales functions including data mining, spreadsheet modeling, and database entry. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college in business or engineering related discipline. Minimum appropriate sales experience (6+ years) in relevant markets with demonstrated results in sales and marketing In-depth knowledge of the aerospace market preferred Demonstrated organization skills with the ability to plan itineraries, develop programs, write proposals and meet all monthly reporting requirements while traveling as required. Ability to prioritize work and meet competing or short-notice deadlines consistently. Motivated self-starter with ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
