Summary: The Business Development Manager is responsible for hiring, training, developing, and leading a team of junior to senior level staffing consultants, account executives, consultants, or a combination thereof, within one of our divisions, while also maintaining a personal book of business in recruiting, account management or direct hire/executive search.


Essential Job Responsibilities:
* Research the market for new or expanded employer client opportunities and identify and pursue target companies.
* Attend networking meetings and industry events to meet with and expand contacts with employers and candidates.
* Present yourself, our company and our services favorably and effectively to employers on the phone and via email.
* Deliver polished and effective presentations in person to employers with advice and recommendations for new or expanded engagements, for improvements in hiring and employment, or for the suitability of particular candidates.
* Promote value of our service as well as benefits and competitive advantages of our firm.
* Visit client employers on a regular basis and interact with hiring managers and other key personnel and observe and assess clients' work environments and culture to maintain current understanding of both the content and context of clients' hiring needs.
* Develop and maintain relationships with all hiring managers and other key personnel at client employers.
* Discuss requirements for job openings with employers and develop profiles for targeting suitable candidates.
* Work with employers to establish appropriate fee structure, terms and conditions for search engagements.
Qualifications:
* Prior staffing or placement industry experience
* Leadership skills with management experience
* Proven success in direct-hire, executive search or business development/recruiting within contract/temporary services.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
* Proven experience building teams of recruiting and sales professionals from the ground up.
* Effective time management skills that allow you to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Experience working in a fast-paced, client-driven, extremely competitive environment.
* Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions quickly and effectively.
* Proven ability to manage constructive criticism and coaching resulting in immediate improvements.
* Goal-oriented personality with superior work ethic, tenacious attitude and self-learner.

Education: Bachelor's Degree highly preferred
