Business Development Manager
Description We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join a thriving construction company in Baltimore, MD. The Business Development Manager will focus on developing business strategies, networking, and fostering relationships to drive business growth. Responsibilities • Building and maintaining relationships with owners, engineers, property managers, and general contractors in the mid-Atlantic region. • Promoting company services through effective communication with the estimating and leadership team. • Driving business growth by establishing a network of contacts through various trade organizations and related events. • Identifying and contacting the appropriate organizational contacts for procurement within target sectors. • Understanding all aspects of the construction industry to filter potential projects and provide them to the estimating team. • Assisting in hiring new employees by representing the company at career fairs. • Researching and identifying new business opportunities and markets to help promote new business strategies and ideas. • Understanding the strengths and weaknesses of the company to improve its standing in the industry. • Monitoring and managing commercial construction projects. • Utilizing business development skills to enhance B2B sales. Requirements • Proven experience in Business Development or a related field for a minimum of 5 years. • Demonstrable skills in Business Development and Business Development Strategies. • Experience in the Construction industry, specifically Commercial Construction Projects. • Knowledge of materials and processes related to Concrete is essential. • Proven track record in B2B Sales, preferably within the construction industry. • Proficient in using various software for project management and data analysis. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. • Ability to build rapport and establish strong business relationships. • Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking. • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or relevant field is desirable. • Ability to travel as required for client meetings and industry events. • Valid driving license. • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate a team. • Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Additional languages would be an advantage.
