Business Development Manager

**Position Overview:**
Adecco is assisting a leading construction solutions provider! Our client is seeking a highly driven, sales-focused professional with a passion for building and expanding strategic relationships. This role demands a "hunter" mentality to drive revenue growth, actively penetrate key accounts, and deliver impactful sales solutions within specific markets or territories. You will focus on identifying and developing high-value sales opportunities, serving as a consultative partner, and generating long-term value for assigned accounts.
This position requires both strategic thinking and tactical execution skills. Successful candidates will combine sales acumen, industry insight, and a strong understanding of customer needs. Relationship building at all levels, from buyers and project managers to executives, will be crucial.
**Travel Requirements:**
Overnight travel is required up to 50-75% of time.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Develop and implement strategic account plans to meet revenue goals and drive new business.
+ Establish and nurture relationships within a defined list of accounts, leveraging any existing networks or book of business to expand reach.
+ Proactively track, manage, and report account activity within the CRM and participate in regular meetings for progress updates.
+ Research and evaluate new business opportunities, keeping informed of market trends and competitive activities.
+ Collaborate with internal departments such as Marketing, Environmental Construction Services, and other account managers to maximize revenue and ensure seamless customer service.
+ Drive the pursuit and follow-through of sales opportunities, leading the bid process from submission to award.
+ Conduct post-award evaluations to gain insights on successful and lost opportunities.
+ Map out significant projects within your territory, highlighting near-term and long-term revenue opportunities.
+ Present high-impact presentations to C-level and executive-level clients to secure new business.
+ Consult with management on industry trends to help shape new offerings, product lines, and sales strategies.
+ Pursue networking opportunities and gather market intelligence through industry events, publications, and professional groups.
+ Maintain expertise in strategic account management best practices and continuously seek improvement.
+ Consistently demonstrate alignment with company values, fostering innovation, customer focus, and teamwork.
+ Provide cross-functional support and engage in cross-training to enhance team flexibility.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred.
+ Minimum of 8 years’ experience in sales and account management, preferably within access matting or construction sales.
+ Proven network and established industry relationships preferred.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to build rapport at all organizational levels.
+ Flexibility in schedule, with a willingness to work extended hours, including weekends.
+ Demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions, analyze trends, and develop actionable insights.
+ Strong CRM and Microsoft Office proficiency.
+ Highly organized with the ability to manage a robust workload, consistently accurate and timely in deliverables.
**Salary:**
$100K - $120K/yr. + commission
