Business Development Manager

Dixon is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team in Chestertown, MD. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for achieving business objectives for specific markets or industry segments. Your role involves analyzing market trends, understanding customer needs, and developing effective strategies to enhance the company's market position. This position plays a crucial role in fostering collaboration across Divisions and Departments, ensuring market-specific goals are met, and contributing to overall business growth. Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial field sales, marketing and/or business development in Dixon related markets required.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement market-specific strategies aligned with overall business goals. Manage the activities of Dixon Field Market Specialists, including time in the field, in coordination with Dixon's sales team. Drive new product development, helping to generate ideas and prioritize NPD projects. Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and threats. Analyze competitor activities and market dynamics to stay ahead of industry changes.

Competencies:

Proven experience in market analysis, strategy development, and team leadership. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Knowledge of the specific industry or market segment such as Energy, Steel, Fire and Construction, Food and Beverage, and Mining is highly desirable.
