ResponsibilitiesThis position would be responsible for contributing to the development of the company strategy and implementation with specific responsibility for managing the distribution system.
Implement formal prospecting plan and evaluate prospective agents and brokers; make recommendations based on Company goals and objectivesDevelop and expand both wholesale and retail agency distribution networksRecommend new programs, products and/or lines of business and evaluate for potential profitabilityCommunicate preferred underwriting appetite as well as new products/services/coverages to agents and brokersBuild long-term relationships with key agencies, insureds and industry associationsMonitor agents and brokers against objectives relative to profitability, production, and service performance; consult with Underwriting and recommend appointments and terminationsMaintain agency/broker contracts per guidelinesMonitor competitor and industry landscape; provide reports on trends and activities in the marketplaceWork closely with Underwriting to make informed, data driven decisionsCreate and distribute marketing material as appropriateOversee all advertising and promotional endeavors on behalf of the Company; manage marketing/advertising budgetHost visiting agents and brokers; set itineraries and ensure that respective Company personnel are involved as appropriateMay perform other functions as assigned.
Qualifications 5+ years of related commercial insurance experienceProficiency and understanding of the Property & Casualty insurance industry and market dynamicsExcellent organizational skills while working on multiple project initiatives, managing schedules and meeting deadlinesAdvanced logical, analytical and reasoning abilities with close attention to detailExperience working in a large, matrixed environment where leadership, co-workers and necessary resources come from different geographical regionsEntrepreneurial and Creative approach to challenges and opportunitiesEducation

• Base Salary Range: $90k -$150k
• Eligible to participate in annual discretionary bonus
