We are looking for a subject matter expert (SME) in Caterpillar’s Command for Dozing and Semi-Autonomous Dozing product within the broader Cat MineStar technology suite. As an SME a successful candidate would understand industry trends, capture customer voice, oversee creation of marketing/sales materials, participate in industry events, and support our dealers and regional sales teams. This role will interact directly with global customers and require international travel. Additional responsibilities include supporting the execution of the mid to long-term business development strategy with the business partners for a given territory or market. **What you will do:** Support our region sales teams and customer requests for information about the Command for Dozing product suite. Support regional sales teams, events, and dealers. Generate marketing/sales materials including but not limited to technical documents, return on investment calculations, and marketing programs. Gather information and assess the market including competitive issues, market dynamics, market service needs and the company position in the industry by securing a leadership role within the trade associations, technical bodies and schools particular to this sector. • Coaches junior team members and assists with key staff recruiting. **What skills you will have:** **Technical Excellence:** Working knowledge of surface mining methods and high precision mining technology (e.g. Cat Terrain) and applications, specifically as they apply to dozing. **Customer Focus:** Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and the ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions. The ability to “put yourself in the customer's shoes” and understand the problem to be solved. **Data Gathering & Analysis:** Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment. **Decision Making and Critical Thinking:** Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. This position will require public speaking. **Negotiating:** Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner. **Relationship Management:** Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers. **Strategic Thinking:** Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization. **Value Selling:** Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs. **Additional Information:** The primary location for this position is Tucson AZ, or Peoria, IL. This position may require 40 -50 % travel. **Summary Pay Range:** $153,000.00 - $229,440.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
