**BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER** **Telford, PA** **$100k-$135k with commissions** **Benefits - Paid Holidays & Paid Time Off, Health, Prescription, Dental, Vision, Short and Long Term Disability, Life Insurance, 401k Enrollment, Paid Parental Leave** **Job Summary** Assisting current existing customer base and focus on market development efforts on the Food & Feed Ingredients Market and Dry Retail Food segment in the U.S., east of the Mississippi: + Food & Feed Ingredients Market – premium packaging protect products against moisture/oxidation/infestation sold B2B channels + Human Food – Premium segments that require preservation of products sold in either retail or club store channels. + Pet Food – High end specialty dog & cat food **Responsibilities** + Develops new customers and grows new revenues. + Develops and manages trust-based relationships with target prospects and new customers. + Communicates Company value proposition in a consistent and effective way. + Skillfully consults with target prospects on how Company offerings can solve their problems and address their needs. + Strengthens value proposition through target customer insights. + Sells solutions and products in an effective and economic way. + Provides constructive input to R&D, PED, and Operations to continuously improve the company offerings in the marketplace. **Essential Skills/Knowledge** + Questioning: ability to ask probing and illuminating questions to customers + Inquisitive: high level of curiosity; hunger for knowledge and information + Resilience and adaptability to build trust-based relationships. + Analytical skills: ability to dissect and investigate requests at the appropriate level of detail. + Adept at prospecting and cold calling within the new virtual B2B environment. Ability to knock on doors physically and virtually. + Tech savvy at leveraging the company’s digital marketing strategy and tools to connect with more leads and prospects through multi-channels, social media, email marketing campaigns, video, content creation, programmatic advertising, messaging apps and more. + Good “client hands”: strong communication, persuasion, active listening, and confidence without arrogance + Good team player: positive attitude, outgoing, good interpersonal skills, team-building skills Experience/Qualifications + Minimum of 3 – 5 years of sales experience within the flexible or rigid packaging segments + Have previous experience selling into the Retail channel.
