Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager is BRP’s asset to source and acquire new business leads for the lost-foam services offered by the Spruce Pine facility while also presenting a persuasive business case to current and former clients on behalf of the organization. Effective prospecting, recruiting, and onboarding of customers is the measure of success for the incumbent. The role and its efficacy are critical to the long-term sustainability and development of the business in our Spruce Pine, NC location.

\n\nYOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
\n\n\nManage all aspects of the site sales business including contract negotiation, pricing management, prospecting, and securing new customers.
\n\n\nOwn the strategy, development, and implementation of yearly sales programs: including program design, developing sales targets, reporting, approval, and implementation of multiple programs per year with numerous stakeholders.
\n\n\nSeek to improve and expand the network through proven sourcing methods.
\n\n\nConduct necessary business environment research to ensure key market insight.
\n\n\nCompile and prepare statistical reports related to the role and its involvement with the operation.
\n\n\nManage and own goals for potential customer outreach and current customer touchpoints, including any adjustments throughout the year.
\n\n\nServe as the main point-of-contact for potential and existing customers, fostering engagement and communication.
\n\n\nServe as a member of the site Leadership Team and LERC team.
\n\n\nImprove customer service experience through diagnostic studies, targeted customer communication, and improvement plans.
\n\n\nDevelop and execute strategies to protect revenue and margin in existing sales channels.
\n\n\nWhen necessary, assist with customer invoices and other business-related communications.
\n\n\nWork with site decision-makers to provide quotes for all potential customers.
\n\n\nImplement continual analysis of current business to identify areas of process improvement and additional opportunities for increased revenue and margin.
\n\n\nAssist site stakeholders in preparation and implementation of site budget.
\n\n\nCreate and/or modify contracts for prospective and existing customers while abiding by legal obligations and requirements throughout the sales process.
\n\n\nAssure proper involvement of all BRP resources during all phases of business development plans.
\n\n\nFully understand BRP-SP’s operational model and business case, acting as a self-reliant SME when communicating with other businesses and related stakeholders.
\n\n\n\nYOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
\nRequired:
\n\n\nBachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, or marketing from a four-year college or university.
\n\n\n7+ years of sales and business development experience with progressive responsibilities.
\n\n\nIn depth understanding of foundry industry and lost-foam casting.
\n\n\nAbility to read, interpret, and create professional documents such as contracts, presentations, and procedure manuals.
\n\n\nCapacity to write substantive reports and correspondence; ability to speak eloquently and effectively before business leaders, groups of customers, or employees of organizations.
\n\n\nPossess excellent time management skills with the proficiency to multi-task while balancing short-term deadlines with long-term goals.
\n\n\nAbility to perform advanced statistical analyses.
\n\n\nTravel up to 50% of the year.
\n\n\n\n
Preferred:
\n\n\nMBA.
\n\n\nPrevious experience in a business development role in the lost-foam casting industry.
\n\n\n\n
