Business Development Manager
NDI Engineering Company is seeking a Business Development and Proposals Manager (Navy and Maritime) to join our team in Thorofare, NJ. Below are the basic requirements and qualifications for this role. This role is full-time and is NOT remote. Responsibilities: + Responsible for the overall corporate strategic planning and oversight of NDI contract and R&D investment portfolio; + Craft strategies for maintaining and growing business at NSWCPD and NAWCADLKE; + Craft strategies for growing new business outside NSWCPD and NAWCADLKE; + Expand/grow new partnerships/teaming; + Active Participant in industry events; + Develop a Capture Roadmap for a short term and long-term horizon; + Active Participant in Pre-Solicitation Communications with the Government (RFI’s, Sources Sought, etc.) + Responsible for providing guidance, direction, and leadership to the Business Development and Proposal staff; + Maintain situational awareness of real-time solicitation releases; + Formulate Multiple-Award Contract Bidding and Quoting Strategies; + Ensure timely development of quotes and proposals (including providing hands-on written proposal inputs); + Ensure timely reviews of in-process quotes and proposals (including eyes-on and hands-on reviewing); + Ensure timely delivery of responsive and competitive quotes and proposals; + Oversight of the maintaining of Corporate Experience and Past Performance Data + Oversight of the maintaining of Corporate Staff Qualifications Data and Resumes + Assist in workforce talent projections for future growth to meet current contract requirements and future strategic plans Preferred Qualifications/Experience: + This position requires a bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of professional proposal experience + Proven experience in DoD/Navy business development and/or marketing management, and capture planning + Experience in reviewing complex government solicitations (e.g., RFQs, RFPs, RFIs, BAAs) + Working knowledge of DoD/Navy Engineering Services industry (Particularly Philadelphia NAVSEA market) + Experience in people and project managing the development of proposals in accordance with FAR requirements + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as this fast-paced position requires extensive interface with all levels of the federal client and potential collaborative partners + Excellent organization and documentation skills; attention to detail; and an ability to troubleshoot, resolve administrative problems and respond to inquiries in an accurate and timely manner + Proficiency in Microsoft, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint + Experience as a people manager- leading a small team   Powered by JazzHR
