GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Manager of Business Development reports directly to the COO and is responsible for gauging market intelligence, development of business strategies, collaboration with stakeholders on implementation, assessment of effectiveness, engagement of physician stakeholders, community outreach and other areas as assigned. This position is responsible for developing new lines of business and improving the impact of existing service lines. This position will oversee the physician and home health liaison teams as they collaborate with physicians, facilities and key stakeholders to increase business across all services lines, improve collaboration, efficiency, access and convenience for customers.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Works collaboratively with the Park Ridge Health executive leadership and service line directors to develop strategic direction that supports identified business initiatives.
· Works closely with Marketing team to develop and implement campaigns/strategies designed for new business opportunities that will develop relationships with key customers and partners.
· Develops and provides strategic direction and messaging for building loyalty to the hospital through various connection points and service offerings throughout the community.
· Enhances professional growth and development of self and others through development of speakers bureau, educational workshops, tools and strategies for growth.
· Coordinates strategies to competitively differentiate and build market preference for Park Ridge Health and Adventist Health Systems branded services.
· Responsibilities include collaboration with executive leadership, service line directors, physician enterprise and marketing team to develop and actualizing marketing and communication strategies around new lines of business that also increase understanding and acceptance of organization's mission, vision and values.
· Works proactively and independently showing initiative and problem-solving skills, consulting with executive leadership and clinical directors to seek advice, when appropriate, for situations outside authority or expertise.
· Provides timely reports whenever requested.
· Performs and/or reviews performance evaluations and takes disciplinary action as necessary.
· Demonstrates respect for patients and maintains confidentiality.
· Maintains proper attendance, reports to work on time, notifies supervisor regarding absence or lateness and dresses in a professional manner.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills; must be able to provide leadership and direction to a team of professionals.

· General knowledge of computer hardware and software.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelors degree in marketing, business or similar field.
Five years experience with proven results in healthcare business development or leadership role that includes management of key functions: physician relations, marketing and planning, promotional plan development, strategic and business plan development.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
Valid State of North Carolina drivers license.
