Pleasant Holidays is a subsidiary of the Automobile Club of Southern California a diversified insurance, roadside assistance, financial services and travel organization serving more than 17 million AAA Members across 21 states.

Summary:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) position is an integral part of our company sales strategy and we are looking for a highly motivated individual that will be responsible for building and maintaining key customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, achieving financial goals in the assigned territory, and maintaining extensive knowledge of competitive market conditions.

Primary Duties:

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Travel Agency Sales

Account management of current clients

Development of new accounts

Trade events and onsite / online training

Travel is required, throughout the region including the hosting of travel agents and FAM trips to domestic and international destinations.

Participate in trade shows, seminars, and industry events, as required

Must be able to work nights and weekends

Performs other duties as assigned

Prerequisites:

This highly motivated person must have:

3+ years of relevant travel industry experience with a proven track record of sales growth

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Extensive travel agency contacts and National / Consortia relationships

Success developing FIT, Groups and Wedding travel business

Must be self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills

Location:

Territory consists of Los Angeles, Malibu, Glendale, Bakersfield, Bishop, Arcadia, Alhambra, Ventura, Santa Barbara & San Luis Obispo counties, and Las Vegas. Must reside within the territory with preference in the Los Angeles area, and be able to drive.

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is on a base salary plus incentive program with unlimited earning potential based upon the achievement of certain corporate financial and personal business goals and objectives for Pleasant Holidays; most earn between $80,000 - $100,000 annually.
