Business Development Manager - International Exports

You will build a career that you are proud of, at a company you can believe in. **Responsibilities:** + Responsible for annual sales & gross margin budget in builder products of export sales in the Caribbean + Establish direct relationships with overseas clients – developers, builders, GC’s, subcontractors, dealers, etc. + Establish relationships with mainly S.Florida-based local designers and architects that specify international projects for both US & Foreign clients + Influence the specification at early stage of design as a value-add to the customer and best position Ferguson to win the business. + Product focus will be mainly on plumbing, appliances and lighting + Conceptualize, prepare, build, and drive all aspects of the proposal process from inception to closing + Handle all aspects of a project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and on contract value + Prepare regular reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team + Identify and help to resolve operational and logistics problems and minimize delays **Requirements:** + 5+ years of export sales to builders required ​ + Experience in working with designers and developers in product selection preferred + Knowledge of construction project cycle and design influence and expertise preferred + Ability to interpret project schedules and project plans + Strong customer service and communication skills + Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) + Self-motivator and ability to multi-task + Planning and execution skills + Ability to manage competing demands + Ability to make timely decisions, exhibit good judgment + Ability to travel internationally independently on a regular (monthly) basis and sometimes on short notice is a requisite + Negotiation skills + Analytical skills At Ferguson, we care for each other.
