This position will be based in Atlanta, GA or Nashville, TN and requires regular travel within your assigned territory. Occasional travel to company sites may be required as needed.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to oversee, develop, and execute our sales plan in a large revenue-generating market. As a key player in our organization, you will manage spirits sales to On-Premise accounts through a distributor sales network while leading a team of dedicated on-premise spirits sales professionals across Georgia and Tennessee.

 

In this role, you will function as the Gallo brand representative, maintaining business relationships and employing effective selling techniques to boost spirits sales. You will analyze market data, leverage pricing strategies, and make recommendations to directors to maximize contributions. Your strategic focus will be on the biggest opportunities, reallocating resources as needed based on market dynamics and winery direction. Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You will work closely with distributor management to ensure the execution of annual sales plans, evaluate market conditions, and allocate resources effectively. Your responsibilities will include negotiating monthly objectives, planning sales meetings, and supporting the career development of your team. Additionally, you will be involved in the annual planning process, pricing, forecasting, and launching new items. We value entrepreneurial thinking, innovation, and ownership behaviors. What You Will Need:

Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of Gallo Winery sales, marketing, or affiliated or non-affiliated distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 6 years of wine or spirits sales, marketing, restaurant/hospitality, or distributor experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 9 years of Gallo Winery sales, marketing, or affiliated or non-affiliated distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 10 years of wine or spirits sales, marketing, restaurant/hospitality, or distributor experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility. Candidate is required to have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver’s license based on the position’s location within 30 days of hire. Required to be 21 years of age or older. Required to obtain liquor license as required by state/locality. Required to travel by air and automobile up to 50% during the course of business. Required to see, taste, and smell wine and perform product tastings as part of job functions. Experience demonstrating strong leadership selling, time management, public speaking skills Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What You Will Set You Apart:

Bachelor's degree plus 7 years of Gallo winery or distributor sales experience to include a prior rotation as a Business Development Manager Lead, Business Intelligence Manager or Account Manager 3; OR Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of external alcohol sales experience to include on-premise spirits experience. Direct managerial/supervisory experience with sales, retail, or on-premise employees (e.g. District Manager, Area Manager, State Manager, Field Marketing manager, etc.). Experience with selling or marketing Gallo products.

Compensation:

Hiring salary range posted: $123,975 - $185,915 / year Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
