We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market presence for our Xevo™ MRT technology. This role involves working closely with regional sales and marketing teams, developing strategic plans, and building strong relationships with customers and partners.

 

This is a remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere on the East Coast. 

Responsibilities Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business and market opportunities, including partnerships and collaborations for Xevo MRT. Generate and qualify leads through various channels, including networking, cold calling, and attending industry events. 
 Sales Funnel Management: Develop and implement strategies to drive and monitor sales and revenue growth for Xevo MRT across the USA. Maintain an up-to-date sales funnel and forecast future sales performance within the region.  
 Sales Support: Collaborate with regional sales, marketing and HQ business segment teams to convert the pipeline of Xevo MRT opportunities into orders. Provide direct support during the sales process, including customer presentations, product demonstrations, and negotiations.  
 Tactical Sales Planning: Develop and implement tactical sales plans with regional teams to ensure Xevo MRT meets or exceeds annual operating plan (AOP) expectations. Set sales targets and develop strategies to achieve them. 

 

Sales Enablement: Devise and implement remote training programs for sales and marketing teams on Xevo MRT technology, applications, and sales strategies. Ensure the sales team is equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively sell the product. 
 Sales and Marketing Initiatives: Work with regional teams, utilizing virtual tools and platforms to implement and support sales and marketing initiatives, increase product awareness, and build the Xevo MRT sales funnel. Develop and execute promotional campaigns to drive sales. 

 

Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with Xevo MRT prospects and early customers, ensuring feedback and success stories are shared to thew wider project team. Monitor customer success and satisfaction to ensure repeat business. 

 

Sales Reporting: Regularly report on funnel and sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to the Commercial Director RDAT. Use data to inform sales strategies and improve performance. 
 Technical Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of HRMS technology to effectively communicate its advantages and applications to internal and external customers. 

 

Product Development Input: Provide feedback from customers, field sales, and the marketing team to guide the development and enhancement of Xevo MRT. 
 Collaboration: Work within a cross-functional team, including regional sales and marketing teams, product managers, and the wider HQ business segment teams, to deliver comprehensive Xevo MRT solutions to customers. 
  Qualifications

Education: 

Bachelor's Degree in a Science-related field. A higher degree is preferred. An MBA or a Master's in a scientific field is advantageous. 

Experience: 

3-5 years of experience in sales or business development preferably in the technology or scientific sectors. Understanding customer needs and crafting marketing strategies that align with business goals and drive sales growth. Proficiency in using Salesforce CRM for managing sales pipelines and customer relationships.

Ability to identify and target potential clients. Understanding customer needs and crafting marketing strategies that align with business goals and drive sales growth. 

Networking and Relationship Management: 

Building and nurturing long-term relationships with internal partners, customers, and prospective customers. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to connect with people at various levels internally and externally. 

Analytical and Negotiation Skills: 

Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and business opportunities. Excellent negotiation skills to close deals and manage contracts. 

Communication and Presentation: 

Excellent presentation and communication abilities to convey ideas clearly and persuasively. Must be a creative self-starter who can proactively conceive and implement various programs to add significant value. Ability to enthuse and motivate sales teams. 

Technical Expertise: 

Deep understanding mass spectrometry and high end technology to effectively communicate its advantages and applications to internal and external customers. 
 
 Travel Requirement: Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time for customer visits, industry events, and team meetings. 

 

The general base pay for this position ranges from $88,000/year to $117,000/year. Pay is based on several factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
