Job Description

This is a great opportunity to become a key player the Business Development team which will be responsible for growing the KMC Systems business. You will be part of an existing commercial team responsible for identifying and developing global business opportunities for our contract design, development and manufacturing (CDMO) company.  If you're looking for an opportunity to have an impact, please apply.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

Identify and develop both new and follow-on business opportunities to generate profitable growth opportunities for the KMC Business Unit.Manage complex RFQs in a Product Development and Manufacturing environmentInteract effectively with numerous cross-functions (Supply Chain, Operations, R&D, Technical Operations and Executive level) in pursuit of closing opportunitiesDevelop new customer accounts by determining customer needs, specifications, and portfolio mapping and pursue opportunities to fill these needs by making presentations and recommendations to assure company and product capabilities.Develop and maintain a close professional relationship with key customer personnel in assigned area to obtain advance information on specific programs prior to their release and be knowledgeable of their general requirements.Identify programs which represent good potential business opportunities for the company and provide recommendations and pertinent information as required to meet customer requirements.Understand competitor’s activities on specific programs or market segments of interest to the company and report information pertinent to the company’s strategy.Develop and implement Marketing Plans for assigned areas.Plan, review and take responsibility achieving our sales plan in assigned territories or customer categoriesAttend trade shows, conferences and customer meetings, as needed.Prepare presentations and white papers to support our marketing and sales collateral needs.Participate in the customer proposal writing and presentation process.Actively participate in the budget cycle.Create awareness of KMC’s capabilities with key customer functional mgmt. via presentations and use of KMC sales collateral

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Life Sciences or Engineering, with 5 or more years of related experience in sales, business development, key account management, preferably in relevant domains. Domain experience includes: Medical Devices, Analytical Instrumentation, Life Science Instrumentation, In Vitro Diagnostics, Clinical Chemistry, Molecular Diagnostics R&D design and mfg exp. of above products preferredExperience or strong knowledge of contract manufacturing expGood oral, written and presentation skillsProfessional demeanor and appreciation for business meeting etiquetteMust have a technical aptitude to promote KMC Systems' design and manufacturing capabilities of complex medical systemsProven track record of closing deals in complex environmentsStrong relationship management skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsComputer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc…)

 

Preferred:

Industry relevant contacts a plus, especially in the IVD market.Experience at a Contract Manufacturing/Engineering Services company is a plus.Familiar in clinical diagnostic applicationsA working knowledge of FDA & ISO regulated environments, preferably at the medical device or instrument developmentFamiliarity with quality systems, such as ISO13485Familiarity with industry regulatory standards RoHS, REACH, WEEE, CE, EU Machine Directive, etc… is a plus

 

Required Travel - approximately 30%
