As the Business Development Manager – OEM Channel, you will be responsible for expanding presence within the commercial furniture and contract manufacturing sector across North America. Your primary focus will be identifying, developing, and nurturing strategic relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in the U.S. and Canada. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, establishing long-term partnerships, and ensuring our solutions align with the evolving needs of the industry.
This position requires a proactive, relationship-driven professional with a strong technical understanding of electrical solutions and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including engineers, sales teams, and product development specialists.
About the Role:
Strategic Business Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive OEM channel strategy to achieve sales and revenue targets within North America. Revenue Growth: Meet and exceed annual sales goals by identifying new business opportunities and strengthening relationships with existing partners. Account Management: Engage with key decision-makers within OEM accounts, ensuring our solutions align with their needs and enhance their product offerings. Pipeline & Forecasting: Maintain a structured 90-day rolling plan with clear objectives, targets, and sales forecasts, updating leadership on progress. Sales Reporting: Present monthly sales updates, including revenue figures, pipeline development, and strategic initiatives. Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, including technical, production, operations, finance, and marketing, to support business development efforts and ensure seamless execution. Customer-Centric Solutions: Provide insights into market trends and customer feedback, helping shape future product development and strategic direction. CRM Management: Utilize our CRM system to track customer interactions, maintain accurate records, and manage a healthy sales pipeline. Brand Representation: Act as an ambassador for the company, upholding our reputation for innovation, quality, and service excellence. About You:
3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the commercial furniture, electrical solutions, or related industries. Strong technical acumen with an ability to understand and communicate electrical product specifications, compliance, and integration requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience working with CRM platforms. Professional, proactive, and results-oriented approach to business development. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and build long-term relationships with OEM partners. Solution-oriented mindset—focused on developing collaborative partnerships rather than transactional sales. Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through. Comfortable conducting sales outreach via phone, virtual meetings, and in-person visits. Self-motivated and adaptable, able to navigate a dynamic and evolving industry landscape. What's in it for You:
