Our Small Law New Business team is responsible for driving digital & generative AI transformation within the boutique firm market, providing coverage from sole practitioners up to 10 Solicitor firms.
 

You’ll be part of an established and successful team of hunters, problem-solvers and multi-taskers who are focused, driven, and are recognized, rewarded and celebrated for their efforts. Most importantly, you will use your passion for whitespace new business sales and legaltech to support the Rule of Law.


About the Role

As one of our Business Development Managers, you will drive new business acquisition across the legal, small-law market. through effective cold calling, prospecting, and closing to achieve monthly billing targets.

This is a permanent full-time role based in Chatswood, Sydney head office with combined home/office-based arrangements to have flexible work-life balance.

Responsibilities

Drive new business acquisition and market penetration through high levels of outbound activity (cold calls, email outreach, and in-person visits).

Qualify potential clients through expert discovery, leveraging proven sales techniques to understand client needs and provide recommendation to applicable Lexis Nexis solutions.

Effective and efficient management of end-to-end full sale cycle, with demonstrated success closing opportunities in a fast-paced environment.

Building effective relationships with key stakeholders in strategic and designated accounts

Maintaining an accurate database of activity, client interaction, and opportunity sales stage and prediction of sale success.

Collaborate with the Business Development Director, Marketing & Inside Sales in lead generation and opportunity identification.


Requirements

Degree qualified with demonstrated years of work experience – preferably in
the legal solutions market

Be able to demonstrate high levels of achievement and performance against sales objectives

Be proficient in solution selling or software sales

Be highly competent in communication and negotiation with staff at all levels within a law firm

Be skilled in problem-solving and negotiation

Be able to collaborate and partner to meet customer needs
