Job Description

  

General Purpose/Objectives:

This position is responsible for the sales of the Teledyne e2v HiRel organization's products in ideally located in the UK. This position sells the Company's High Reliability semiconductor products and services using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products/services to their needs resulting in revenue generation. In addition, the position provides input and participates in the marketing, market planning, and technical development of products and services.

Research customer needs and develop application of products and services in an effective manner. The person will:Determine market strategies and goals for each product and serviceObtain and coordinate data and information from staff and member groupsResearch and develop contacts of current and potential customersDo market research to determine customer needs and provide information to other staffEvaluate product and service marketability in terms of customers’ technical needsFollow up on sales leads and develop new leadsMaintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target marketsEstablish and maintain industry contacts that lead to salesWork with marketing, sales support and staff to establish a communication path with the customer to ensure sales opportunities for products and services.Develop and deliver sales presentations and close sales in a professional and effective manner by:Developing sales and marketing proposals for customers on technical products and servicesMaking presentations to usersDeveloping technical presentations and workshopsMaintaining up-to-date awareness of activities, industry trends and government regulationsMaking regular sales calls to develop relationships and follow up on leadsActing to close deals and finalize contractsSales Forecasting and directing sales representativesMeeting established sales quotas and revenue goalsParticipate in sales forecasting and planning in an effective manner by:Researching, developing and maintaining long and short range sales and marketing plansProducing regular reports and final plans for Manager’s approvalMaintaining an up-to-date awareness of strategic plans and procedures to coordinate market plansMonitoring, analyzing, and communicating sales data, via contact management software, to contribute to product/service planningDevelop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of staff and customersCommunicating openly, honestly and constructivelyTreating all employees and customers with dignity, respect and courtesyTaking responsibility for and making every effort to resolve communication, trust and respect concerns and problemsAsking for information needed to perform job responsibilitiesWork closely with and set goals for Manufacturers RepresentativesWork closely with and train franchised distributor networkPerforms other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications:

5+ years of sales experience with a semiconductor organization and familiarity with Analog, RF and power semiconductorsDemonstrated problem solving and negotiation skillsExperience with semiconductor sales in the aerospace and defense industryExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent formal presentation skills before both small and large groups.Experience managing large territories and diverse product offeringsCoaching/mentoring experience with less senior sales staffA demonstrable capacity to keep abreast of new technology trends, association needs and possible application to real world projects
