Business Development Operations Director

Chenega Corporation Professional Services SBU, a Chenega Professional Services’ company, is looking for a Business Development Operations (BDO) Director to manage the PSSBU Business Development Operations (BDO) Process. The BDO Director will fully understand the federal business development lifecycle, the systems used to identify and qualify new opportunities, the research and analysis of business intelligence and intelligence reporting, and the proposal development process. They will ensure each PSSBU subsidiary maintains a robust and qualified pipeline with a plan for effective capture. Responsibilities Manage the PSSBU BDO Processes that all PSSBU subsidiaries follow, including Pipeline Reporting, Capture Requirements, Proposal Management processes, etc., and ensuring continuous process improvements and subsidiary understanding. Support two distinct PSSBU BDO Teams, including those responsible for capture and the PSSBU Proposal Management Team. Advise and support PSSBU Presidents and BD resources to coordinate capture support, research and competitive analysis. Guides the collection, analysis and interpretation of collected data to derive qualified recommendations and assessments, business plans, competitive strategies and approaches. Advise and support the PSSBU Proposal Team to allocate proposal management resources and ensure quality and compliant proposals through participation in proposal reviews. Responsible for the overall Quality of PSSBU BDO pipeline. Work closely with the PSSBU Presidents and Senior Executive Team in planning, designing and implementing new PSSBU business plans, to include vision, strategies and tactics. Manage access to and training for all PSSBU BDO tools (GovWin, VantagePoint SharePoint, etc.). Work closely with Chenega Corporate to implement best practices and system upgrades. Direct the development and implementation of PSSBU business development systems. Oversee continuous business process improvement of PSSBU business development systems and capabilities. Conduct pipeline and process audits to ensure subsidiary compliance, quality assurance and data integrity. Participate in high-level briefings to PSSBU Presidents and Senior Executive Staff regarding the status of all BD pursuits and priorities. Drives the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the PSSBU BDO Strategy. Collects, analyzes, collates, presents or reports Business Development data in support of Corporate and SBU requirements such as Quarterly Reporting, Monthly Reviews, Business Reviews, etc. Participates in Annual Subsidiary Business Development Budget development and reviews Qualifications Bachelor's Degree 10 years’ experience conducting or supporting Business Development operations and functions 7 years’ experience developing proposals 5 years’ experience using automated systems and tools such as SharePoint and GovWIN 5 years’ experience managing personnel Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of the Business Development lifecycle (identify, qualify, research, capture, proposal development), operations and competitive research and analysis. Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint and Outlook. Must effectively communicate both through written and oral means. Must be comfortable with public speaking and presenting to high-level Senior Executives. Must have the ability to work nights, weekends and Holidays as required. Travel as required for the position. Must possess strong negotiating, influencing, and coaching skills. Must be process driven with the ability to manage the integration of automation to improve process efficiencies. Must possess a thorough understanding of the Federal contracting environment (customers, technology, business process, etc.) Final salary determination based on skill-set, qualifications, and approved funding.
