**Business Development Operations Manager**
As a key leader within the Business Development Team, the Business Development Operations Manager will oversee and help drive strategic initiatives, providing expert guidance to the Business Development, Proposal, and Capture Management teams.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ **Strategic Oversight:** Lead and manage the collection, maintenance, and analysis of business development, marketing, and proposal information, including all submitted proposals, contract descriptions, award debriefs, past performance data, and competitive analysis.
+ **Team Leadership:** Mentor, guide, and train junior analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
+ **Executive Presentations:** Organize and deliver high-impact business development and marketing presentations, internal business reviews, and other critical communications for senior leadership and clients.
+ **Marketing Coordination:** Oversee the preparation, distribution, and modification of business development and marketing materials, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
+ **Event Management:** Direct the logistics for trade shows, professional meetings, and recruiting events, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of materials.
+ **Budget Management:** Oversee and monitor business development capture and proposal budgets, including the creation and closure of budget codes, and manage financial aspects of trade shows and memberships.
+ **CRM and Data Management:** Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the CRM database and provide detailed reporting metrics to inform strategic decisions.
+ **Vendor Management:** Manage relationships with BD consultants and vendors, including onboarding, contract management, and invoice processing.
+ **Training and Development:** Lead training sessions on CRM, PBI, and business development best practices, enhancing team capabilities.
+ **Policy Enforcement:** Ensure compliance with business development policies and processes and communicate updates to the team.
+ **Market Research:** Maintain and utilize research tools such as GovWin, Bgov, and Technomile to conduct competitive analysis and market research.
+ **Onboarding:** Oversee the onboarding process for new BD team members, ensuring a smooth transition.
+ **Stakeholder Engagement:** Build and maintain positive relationships with leadership, peers, and other stakeholders to support business development initiatives.
+ **Organizational Knowledge:** Apply in-depth knowledge of the organization to drive strategic initiatives and daily operations.
+ **Personnel Management:** Perform all personnel management tasks for the BD Operations team, ensuring a motivated and effective workforce.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 7 years in business development, finance or other related fields.
+ Exceptional communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
+ Proven experience in business development support and strategic planning.
+ Expertise in technical writing and editing, adhering to editorial standards.
+ Ability to manage unpredictable schedules, including overtime and holiday work.
+ Strong leadership skills with the ability to work under high-pressure conditions.
+ Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other database software.
+ Advanced knowledge of business development research tools and methodologies.
+ Located in the DC Metro area with the ability to work in the office at least once a week.
+ Secret clearance required; Top Secret clearance preferred.
