Business Development Representative (Metals Industry)

Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the metals industry, including steel, aluminum, and other related materials. The primary focus of this role is to identify and pursue new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with clients, and contribute to the overall growth and success of the company.
Responsibilities: Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients and market trends in the metals industry. Stay updated on industry news, competitor activities, and market dynamics. Lead Generation: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through various channels, including cold calling, networking events, industry conferences, and online research. Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads. Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Understand their needs, challenges, and goals, and tailor solutions to meet their requirements. Provide exceptional customer service to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty. Sales and Negotiation: Develop and present proposals, quotes, and presentations to prospective clients. Negotiate terms and conditions of sales agreements to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. Close sales deals and achieve sales targets. Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, operations, and management, to develop and implement business development strategies. Coordinate with colleagues to ensure seamless execution of projects and initiatives. Reporting and Analysis: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and business development efforts. Generate reports and analyze data to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions. Industry Networking: Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions. Build and maintain a strong professional network within the metals industry and related sectors.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field. Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the metals industry or a related field. Strong understanding of metals industry trends, technologies, and regulations. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software. Willingness to travel as needed.
