POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Business Development Representative to drive growth for our smart property technology product in the short-term rental market. In this role, you will identify and pursue new business opportunities through direct outreach methods to prospective customers.  You will partner with an Account Executive for strategic opportunities (midlevel and Enterprise), while also being responsible for obtaining a book of business on other account profiles.  You will leverage your expertise in Sales, IoT technology and/or the vacation rental vertical to articulate our value proposition to potential clients, conducting market analysis and competitive research to inform direct outreach and the sales process. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and a passion for transforming the rental experience through technology.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Source new sales opportunities through lead generation and follow-up, targeting the short-term rental market. Research accounts to understand property management needs, identify key contacts, and generate interest in PointCentral’s smart home solutions. Qualify leads as sales opportunities using criteria such as operational challenges, budget, and implementation timeline. Support Account Executives by identifying and qualifying leads for mid-market and enterprise accounts by prospecting and scheduling discovery meetings. Re-engage existing customers that have gone cold to bring them back into the pipeline. Maintain and expand the prospect database by managing information in Salesforce for accurate lead tracking. Consistently meet or exceed quotas for meetings, qualified opportunities, and closed sales. Attend industry events and trade shows to stay connected with market trends and build relationships. Stay informed about industry trends and competitive positioning in the short-term rental market.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree is required to be considered for this position. 5+ years of proven sales experience with a track record of over-achieving quota is preferred. Strong desire for growth into a sales support or direct sales role. Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day. Preferred experience with owning the entire sales cycle Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools. Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms preferred. Experience working with sales engagement platforms like Outreach or similar preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong listening and presentation skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment. High level of initiative and self-motivation. Up to 15% travel may be required for industry events.
