The Business Development Representative is a critical component of the sales process and is responsible for building awareness and generating buying demand for our online and advisory-based Sustainability software solution.

Responsibilities

Own and manage client inquiries.Articulate the firm’s value proposition to decision-makers to aid in both new business acquisition & client retention.Conduct regular, proactive outreach calls with clients (health checks, relationship building).Follow up on inbound client lead activity (website inquiries, webinar registration, etc.).Identify and communicate up-sell opportunities to sales team to assist in closing new business.Partner with senior sales executives to hand off qualified leads and facilitate continued development of opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, related study or equivalent experienceAt least 1-2 years of previous relevant business experience (internships included)Ability to understand and successfully promote technical offerings and solutionsSuperior analytical, verbal and written skillsAble to work independently or as part of teamOne year of experience with Salesforce.com or other CRMsAbility to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives at prospect firmsSolid understanding of social media tools and vehicles including LinkedIn, Twitter, Blogs and monitoring tools.

The expected base pay range is $60,000 - $62,000 per year for the locations listed. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and level of education.

This role is sales incentive or bonus eligible.
