Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Professional based at our Calgary SE office. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, building, and maintaining relationships with key clients, and identifying new business opportunities within the region. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the industrial and commercial sectors.
Main Duties:
Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market share in the industrial and commercial sectors. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including market research, lead generation, and qualification.Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, industry partners, and stakeholders.Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to clients.Collaborate with internal teams, including project managers, engineers, and estimators, to ensure client requirements are met.Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities and threats.Represent Black & McDonald at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.Maintain accurate records of business development activities, client interactions, and sales pipeline using sales tracking software.Prepare regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market conditions.Employment Requirements:
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the fabrication or industrial sectors.Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.Strong knowledge of the fabrication and industrial markets, including key players, industry trends, and competitive landscape.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and sales tracking software.Willingness to travel within the region as required.Black & McDonald welcomes and encourages applications from persons with disabilities.
