Business Development Representative

CTG is seeking a business development representative. The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a pivotal role in driving growth by identifying and engaging clients in the Energy industry for our B2B services company. As the first point of contact in the sales process, the BDR is responsible for qualifying leads, building relationships, and creating opportunities for the sales team. This role requires strong communication skills, resilience, and a proactive approach to uncovering business needs and demonstrating the value of our solutions.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
+ **Lead Generation and Qualification**
+ Research and identify potential leads through targeted outreach, leveraging CRM tools, social media, and other platforms
+ Initiate contact with prospects via cold calls, emails, and social media to introduce company services and generate interest
+ Collaborate with sales and leadership team members to BANT qualify leads by understanding their business challenges and aligning them to CTG’s solutions
+ **Pipeline Management**
+ Schedule meetings and demos for the sales team, ensuring seamless handoffs of qualified leads
+ Maintain accurate records of all activities and interactions in the CRM system
+ Monitor and report on lead generation metrics and results
+ **Relationship Building**
+ Develop a deep understanding of CTG’s services for the Energy vertical to effectively communicate value propositions
+ Build and nurture relationships with potential clients through personalized and persistent engagement
+ Act as a brand ambassador, representing the company professionally and authentically
+ **Collaboration**
+ Work closely with marketing to optimize campaigns and lead-nurturing strategies
+ Partner with sales to refine prospecting efforts and share insights from outreach activities
+ Contribute to team discussions and strategy sessions to improve lead generation processes
+ **Additional Responsibilities**
+ Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to new initiatives
**QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
+ 1-2 years of experience in a similar role (BDR, SDR, inside sales) or a strong desire to develop in sales
+ **Skills and Attributes**
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
+ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and build rapport quickly
+ Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
+ Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
+ Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales enablement tools
+ **Preferred Qualifications**
+ Familiarity with B2B sales and understanding of common business challenges faced by companies
+ Knowledge of and experience in the US Energy and/or cybersecurity markets
+ Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding lead generation goals

**LOCATION AND WORK ARRANGEMENTS**
+ This position is a remote position, but requires that candidate live in the Houston or Austin, Texas area
+ Standard working hours: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. CT
+ Some travel required to attend tradeshows, client events and meetings, and Inside Sales meeting with Manager (Dallas-based)

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $55,000 to $65,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
