About the job

LexisNexis Account Manager is responsible for both managing the relationships with an assigned set of current customers and targeting and selling LexisNexis services to prospective clients within their portfolio by upselling and cross selling. The role requires a strategic thinker and relationship builder who can engage with C-suite executives and other senior stakeholders to deliver exceptional value. The Account Manager is expected to achieve high renewal rates and targeted revenue growth by developing strong professional relationships with customers

Responsibilities:

Achieve renewal targets and identify then pursue additional sales from managed customers by cultivating new business opportunities within existing accounts, leveraging a consultative approach to deepen partnerships and drive double and triple-digit growth.

Executive Engagement: Build and maintain relationships at the highest levels within client organizations, acting as a trusted advisor and thought leader by conducting regular business reviews, to discuss their use of service and to discover how LexisNexis can provide more value

Market Insight: Stay ahead of industry trends and customer needs, providing valuable insights that influence client strategies and enhance their decision-making processes.

High-Impact Engagement: Maintain a proactive presence through tailored communication strategies, including in-person visits, to ensure high-quality engagement with senior clients.

CRM Mastery: Utilize Salesforce.com to effectively manage client interactions, track engagement, and analyse data for strategic decision-making.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead collaboration across global teams to align services and support client needs, driving organizational synergy.

Build a strong sales pipeline from both marketing-generated and self-generated prospective opportunities

Conduct value-oriented discussions with prospects to understand their business needs and translate that in to how the LexisNexis product can meet those needs

Demonstrate or present the LexisNexis product to prospective customers to illustrate product capabilities and identify the matches to clients’ business needs

Negotiate and execute customer contracts that meet both LexisNexis and customer needs

Requirements

Prospecting and new business acquisition skills

Ability to thrive in a targeted, performance measured culture

Comfort with desktop technology, including Microsoft Office and SalesForce 

Extensive experience in a consultative sales role, preferably in license-based subscription services.

Proven experience managing complex sales cycles with high-value clients, achieving high annual revenue targets

Presentation skills for both LexisNexis and customer facing meetings

Fluency in French, English and preferably Dutch
