Business Development Sales Associate

Allied Universal is currently seeking a Business Development Sales Associate to support field sales activities for the southeast region, with the intent to drive key performance indicators and sales results. It encompasses assisting Sales Executives and local Business Development Managers with many of the components of their job functions including telemarketing support, creating presentations, other sales administrative support, and other developmental activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cold call and build rapport with prospects and transition “cold” inquiries over time into “warm” responsive prospects in order to develop and manage a pipeline of both self-generated and company provided potential prospectsIdentify new sales opportunities through bid-portals, initiating outbound contact to potential leads, and identifying potential for recapturing lost business by communicating with local operations teams and BDMsSchedule face-to-face appointments for Business Development Managers (BDMs) and collaborate with the team to ensure the successful and timely submission of proposals as well as providing insight on market conditions, annual sales data, and providing trend analysis on findings; determine recommendations for immediate or future bid opportunities to identify innovative business opportunitiesPull wage analysis information to assist region’s BDMs in developing proposals, pricing, and contracts for new clientsMaintain credibility of CRM automated records, historical data, and contact information to continuously assess and report on sales cycle activity, pipeline development and sales goal tracking through the use of the CRM tool and ongoing communication to senior managementDrive company growth through customer retention, acquisition, and sales efforts by contributing to the Region meeting and/or exceeding sales expectationsEvaluate and clarify client requests prior to proposal submission and participating in pre-proposal meetings while proactively seeking out ways to improve the Allied Universal prospect and customer experience; design and implement processes to streamline efficiencies. Manage, as well as network within community relationships, attend and get actively involved with identified associations (BOMA, ASIS etc.)Complete special projects as determined by the Regional Vice President, such as reporting and tracking bid workflows

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related fieldMinimum of one (1) year of sales experienceStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Windows-based computers and peripheral equipmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skills over the phone and in personDemonstrated ability to successfully utilize customer relationship management software to drive sales (SalesForce.com, ACT, Gold Mine, Upshot, Siebold, etc.)Collaborative skills to partner with the sales and operations teams in identifying and resolving problems, issues, concernsAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, supervisors and general publicAbility to work independently, take initiative, and follow through with requests and detailsHigh-level writing skills to persuasively answer questions to requests for proposal and develop proposal text

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

Experience in B2B sales, preferably in a service industryExperience using Salesforce
