Business Domain Architect

AvMed, a division of Sentara Health Plans in the Florida market, is hiring a Business Domain Architect in Miami or Gainesville, Florida. This is a hybrid position, 2 days in office and 3 days remote if within local market or 100% remote if outside of local territory.

Scope of the Position: The Business Domain Architect’s primary role is to shape, synthesize and communicate data and insight requirements in order to drive strategic and operational business outcomes in their respective domains. The architect will partner with business owners, last mile users, data stewards and data SMEs to ensure data and analytic product development meets the business’s needs. 
Data and analytic products in scope include performance analytics, insights to power operational workflows, ad hoc analyses to support performance improvement and strategy development


Essential Job Functions:
•    Translate business needs for data and analytics and maintain a comprehensive blueprint and roadmap
•    Given deep knowledge of the business domain, translate business questions and needs into requirements for data timeliness, data field definitions, workflow inputs, visualizations, etc.
•    Work with business leaders to prioritize use cases to pursue
•    Serve as product owner to Data & Analytic delivery teams to drive development in line with priorities
•    Ensure effective understanding of end user needs
•    Serve as business partner for business power users
•    Support business data use cases, shape last mile user coaching
•    Collaborate with IT data team to resolve and maintain data quality issues
•    Decision authority for prioritizing business data needs and analytic product roadmap
•    Joint decision to escalate data quality issues

Minimum Requirements:
•    Bachelor’s degree
•    7 years of relevant experience or 10 years without a bachelor's degree
•    Experienced individual with proven knowledge in domain area with demonstrated understanding of business strategy and trends
•    Leadership abilities to influence and collaborate effectively 
•    Technical proficiency in data analysis tools, database management and visualization is helpful
•    Strong problem solving and critical thinking
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills


This position is 100% Remote but candidates must have a current residence in one of the following States or be willing to relocate- Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming

​The following hiring range will be applied: $140,056.80 - $233,428.00 with target hiring range of $140,056.80 - $186,724.40.
