About the Role: We are seeking a Business Group Financial Analyst to support our Aerospace & Defense business.
This position can be located at any U.S. East (Newark, Delaware or Elkton, Maryland) plant location, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs. Relocation assistance may be available for this position.
Pay and Benefits:
$150,000 - $160,000 per year Roles above $150k are eligible for the variable pay program each fiscal year, based on defined business performance metrics. Responsibilities:
Provide financial and accounting decision support to the Aerospace & Defense business team using analytics and business acumen; recommend and influence business decisions and strategy based on results of financial analysis Lead the global operational planning and ongoing forecasting and business performance review processes for the Aerospace & Defense business Align the business strategy, performance targets, and investments with Enterprise strategic initiatives and long-term performance objectives Lead valuation modeling of New Product Development, large capital, and continuous improvement projects, both scale-up and exploration, apply value-driven financial interpretation and metrics, leveraging an ability to bring objectivity and creativity to valuation Provide timely reporting and analysis, including variance analysis and commentary on business performance and other ad hoc requests from Enterprise, Business and Functional leadership; engage with business leaders to prepare and execute action plans and counter measures when results fall short of forecast or targets Monitor and guide key financial metrics for the business and actively identify opportunities for profitability improvement Foster collaboration with financial partners across businesses, regions, and functions (i.e. Manufacturing Cost Analyst, GPS Finance Analysts, Division and Enterprise FP&A Analysts, Global Technical Accounting, etc.,) Educate non-finance Associates on financial matters and how to interpret and impact financial results; prepare and communicate financial and business performance reports to Enterprise executive leadership and BOD stakeholders Support customer and potential M&A modeling contract development, liaise with Enterprise Technical Accounting, to optimize contract structures and educating business partners on the short term and long-term operating profit implications Provide leadership to a the Semicon Business Financial AnalystRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or business-related discipline Minimum of combined 6 years experience in a Financial / Business Analyst role Prior finance or accounting experience in a manufacturing environment Experience performing investment analysis and preparing business case modeling Excellent analytical skills and experience with strategic planning, analysis, and various data systems and tools Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to work effectively in a global environment Ability to prioritize and manage multiple commitments Demonstrated ability to challenge, influence and integrate across project, functional, and business leadership teams Ability to travel 10%
Desired Qualifications:
Prior experience with SAP and/or working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system(s), US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and standard costing Prior experience with new product development valuation Working knowledge of COGNOS, TM1, or Tableau or similar financial system tools
