Business Intelligence Administrator

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Business Intelligence Administrators with Power BI expertise will assist in a platform modernization project inclusive of implementation of Power BI for the business.  The contract will run from approximately March – December 2025 and require a 20 hour per week work commitment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Retrofit existing reporting, involving the setup of PBI reporting to reflect best in class layouts and ensure consistency in reporting.Address requests from operations for modification to reports.Help get to us to the finish line on SAS decommission which involves organizing sprint schedules and various other agile business process duties.Work with all levels of management to scope and understand requests.Coordinate and execute change requests.Prepare pipeline code in Databricks and Matillion to create new reporting or modify existing reporting.Develop and document plans to improve, translate and modernize dashboards to Power BI.Transition and build the new dashboards in Power BI maintaining the integrity of the current business information while using creativity to enhance usefulness.Assist BI manager and his team as necessary to support the modernization project goalsParticipate in team and project meetings.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Currently enrolled in the Master of Management Data Analytics program at University of Windsor, or comparable.Demonstrated technical expertise in Power BIA good grasp of data manipulation techniques and knowledge of mathematical formulae to create polished dashboards with meaning.Strong English Language and communication skillsComfortable speaking and collaborating in groups and with team members individuallyHigh degree of attention to detailAbility to work with minimal supervision, self-starterStrong time management skillsInternational visa permitting paid work of up to 20 hours per week

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Flexibility to work remote from your home office.Most of the work is done sitting at a desk using the company issued equipment.
