Job Category

We are looking for a solid data person to join our exciting and very important BI team. This person must possess prior experience validating and investigating data using SQL. This data analyst will need to be comfortable writing SQL to generate ad-hoc and recurring reports. This person should also have effective communication skills with the ability to talk to business users and other technical team members. This role will support company-wide and all-vertical data needs. Typical tasks include providing data insights related to new business projects, supporting internal users with ad-hoc data needs, and creating recurring scheduled reports that will be delivered to our clients and affiliates. 1-day a week in office is required.  

Responsibilities

Answering ad-hoc data questions from business teams Creating/modifying/scheduling/administering recurring email/ftp internal and external reports (SQL queries) Design and develop insightful and actionable Tableau dashboards Validate/investigate data when discrepancies arise Day-2-day administration of Tableau server and SSRS server Day-2-day responding to Jira tickets in the DW queue Work as part of a cross-functional team with other business analysts, engineers, developers, and IT members Work with data from large and sometimes disparate data sources

Requirements

Proficient in SQL and various relational databases Experience in a report writing role where reports were disseminated to important end users Experience in interpreting and evaluating data for insights, both for ad-hoc analysis and for operational troubleshooting Experience using reporting tools to manage and schedule recurring reports (a plus) Experience using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server (a plus) Experience working with cross-functional teams including business teams and tech teams Able-to and willing-to learn new skills, whether that be understanding different businesses or new technologies Must have a can-do attitude and problem solving skills Must have the courage to take ownership and responsibility Must have “common sense” and make appropriate and logical decisions Must not be afraid to ask for support Must enjoy what life has to offer and be a positive force for the team and the company Must enjoy having success, whether small or large Please be ready to provide example reports and explain how they were conceived and developed During pre-screen or during interview, we may ask candidates to write a relatively simple query based upon some database tables Come prepared to have a discussion on the requirements listed above and anything that you want to share that is relevant to this job

 

The expected salary range for this position is $95,000 USD to $125,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices. The salary may be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The position is also eligible to receive performance bonus or commission and equity in the form of restricted stock units. This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s standard employee benefits programs, which currently include health care benefits; (2) retirement benefits; (3) the amount of paid days off (paid sick leave, parental leave, paid time off, or vacation benefits); (4) any other tax-reportable benefits.   #LI-HYBRID    

Flexibility for occasional travel to different offices or events is essential to fulfill the duties of this role. This may include attending meetings, conferences, or training sessions, as well as collaborating with team members or partners in various locations. While travel requirements may vary, candidates should be prepared to engage in occasional travel as needed to support business objectives and foster professional relationships.
