Business Intelligence Analyst
As a Business Intelligence Analyst/Data Engineer in the Storage Business Unit (SBU) you will work in an innovative, motivated, upbeat, project team focused on driving data analytic initiatives in the automation of tools and analytics using visualization tools like Power BI. You will be responsible for creating and delivering data reporting solutions and visualizations that are consumed by a wide audience including business leaders, business analysts, planners, suppliers and customers. You will work with business partners to define system requirements and coordinate with the Information Technology (IT) department as needed. As a team, we design and create business intelligence solutions that answer key business questions. We strive to deliver value to the organization through the transparency of data through metrics, dashboards, analytics, and reporting. We endeavor to deliver high-quality data, support, and availability of our information assets.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Work closely with business stakeholders, such as product managers, marketing managers, customer service and technical leads to capture requirements, build user stories and acceptance criteria.Act as liaison between business stakeholders and the software development team.Responsible for identifying project stakeholders and understanding and defining business needs, project objectives and deliverables.Responsible for project communication, documentation and ensures appropriate stakeholder sign-off.Contribute to an atmosphere of cross-functional collaboration within the organization's Agile project lifecycle.Coordinate with project team to triage, prioritize feature requests, bugs/defects, and other development items.Break down complex requirements into User Stories written from a business perspective that can be coded and tested in short iteration.Perform validation (i.e. functional, independent validation and verification, and user acceptance testers) to ensure requirements are understood and to acquire testing outcomes.Develop reports, analytics and visualizations to meet business requirements.Required education, experience and skills:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or similar field.Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience working as a Business Analyst in Information Technology.Agile or relevant experience working in teams to deliver expected outcome.Team player with excellent interpersonal, collaboration and motivational skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Experience in creating Power BI and/or Tableau reporting.Optimizing SQL queries including Store procedures, View, Functions, ETL's and Reporting tools.Should have good knowledge on PL/SQL Queries.Experience with Snowflake.Experience with Business Intelligence Solutions using Microsoft Technology (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, SSMS etc.).About Micron Technology, Inc.
