Role Purpose
This role is within the Business Intelligence Analytics team of Private Banking & Advisory, under Retail Data & Analytics. We are responsible for developing and maintaining end-to-end Business Intelligence solutions within the BU. The role requires an in-depth understanding of business processes, end-to-end Business Intelligence solutioning that align and support the business objectives.
We are searching for a Business Intelligence Analyst who can work independently and advise the team on solutions and designs. This role also requires an individual who can build strong stakeholder relationships, effectively engage, and provide insights to support the business with data driven decision making, that will enable us to build effective solutions and offer more to our customers.
Responsibilities include:
Build and maintain key relationships across the BI/Data Team
Stakeholder engagement
Advise team on solutions (People, Process and Technology)
Requirements gathering and analysis for new and existing solutions/implementations.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses.
Resolve ad-hoc requests.
Data modelling and database management (Designing data models, building data warehouses, and maintaining databases to ensure they are optimized for reporting and analytics
ETL processes (Developing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) Processes to move and cleanse data from various sources into centralized data storage.
Report and dashboard creation (Building interactive reports and Dashboards using power BI to present insights and key performance indicators to stakeholders
Optimization and maintenance of existing and new reports.
Documentation and maintenance (Document BI solutions, processes and maintaining BI systems, including troubleshooting, Source-to-target-mapping and providing user support).
You'll be an ideal candidate if you:
Have deep domain knowledge of credit, lending and transactional banking products and channels/Marketing will be advantageous.
A strong level of competence with coding languages, such as SQL, SAS, Teradata etc.
Strong understanding of Data Visualization (Power BI tools) is essential.
Good understanding of both the technical points of Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, as well as the business drives and needs.
Has prior Stakeholder management experience across multiple areas within a large organization.

Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Qualification: BSc in Computer Science; Information Systems; Information Technology and/or ND Information Technology or Software Engineering.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Business Intelligence and/or Data Engineering environment
Proven track record of building end-to-end Business Intelligence Solutions
Solid experience with PowerBI reporting
A strong level of proficiency in SQL, SSIS and TeraData is essential.
An intermediate level of proficiency in SAS will be advantageous.
MS Excel Reporting will be advantageous.
