About the role

To drive Capitec’s growth by solving client and business challenges using data, creating value and unlocking opportunities for the product line.

To combine critical thinking with data and analytical expertise to build insights that empower senior executives and decision-makers to make faster, more informed decisions. The emphasis will be on building new solutions to drive improvement and not merely extracting and analyzing data from existing sources. The role is therefore better described as being a "internal data consulting" vs an analyst

Our ideal candidate has:

Minimum

Experience:

At least 3 years’ experience as Business Intelligence Analyst or equivalent (data analyst etc.) including experience in data analytics, BI methods and tools, and the data life cycle. Experience in identifying, quantifying, and subsequently delivering value on how to solve business challenges using data  Experience with stakeholder engagement : Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience translating business needs into actionable data insights. Experience in working with data on cloud platforms, such as AWS or Microsoft Azure  Proficiency in building impactful data visualisations with tools like Power BI. Experience of using SQL to prepare and analyse data

Knowledge:

Design thinking Dimensional Modelling The Data Product Life Cycle (DPLC) Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations and best practices  Knowledge and understanding of data quality  Knowledge and experience of agile project management methodology 

Ideal:

Previous experience working in Consulting Knowledge of change management principles and practices
 

Education (Ideal or Preferred)

Certification in AWS / Azure / Data Analytics / Data Science

Education (Minimum) A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Administration or Statistics Skills Commercial Thinking Skills Facilitation Skills Numerical Reasoning skills Presentation Skills Problem solving skills Additional Information Clear criminal and credit record
