Job Summary

Proposes solutions through methodically weighing alternatives and sound reasoning and develop new analytical perspective or approaches. Responsible for analyzing complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insights to non-technical leaders and decision makers.  A business subject matter expert who can Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Able to define and create business specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements.  Develops solutions for displaying information based on business needs.  Generates or facilitates the generation of new ideas, methods, products, or solutions. Demonstrates understanding of line of business, data management, data analysis, data presentation and communication, and development processes with industry best practices around lean/agile.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Knowledge:  Uses professional concepts; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.  Applies basic data quality concepts to own work.         

Job Complexity: Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Coordinates work prioritized by senior BI analysts.  Builds stable working relationships internally. Drive execution of assigned projects; may lead some projects, and act as a subject matter expert as needed. Produce reports and analyze data to support projects. Moderate understanding of business units and business domain knowledge. Basic understanding of business teams and cross team dependencies.

Supervision: Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.

Skills and Background You’ll Need

Minimum of 2 years of related experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Understanding of reporting automation

Understanding of developing queries and procedures in SQL

Preferred:  Ability to apply basic understanding of R, Python, Azure, and data modelling concepts as needed

Preferred:  Basic skills in Data visualization tools: DaxStudio, Power BI, etc.

Preferred:  Working knowledge of Agile principles

Education:  High School Diploma required

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

 

Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

$64,250.00 - $94,000.00
