The Business Intelligence Intern will work with the BI team on a variety of specific projects and areas as noted below. This position will report directly to the Data Engineer/Business Intelligence Specialist but will have exposure to the wider business teams. Interns will complete a capstone type project over the summer culminating in a presentation to business leadership.
Key Projects:
You will have the opportunity to work with live data to analyze and construct meaningful insights.This position has the potential to empower other teams to make more informed decisions.Analyze historical data to access both current and past performance.Construct/build KPIs.Special projects at the direction of supervisor.Required Education and Experience:
Pursuing an undergraduate (or Graduate) degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Informational Systems, or related fieldRising junior status or aboveDemonstrated leadership & academic achievement in student & extracurricular activitiesAdaptability & ability to work independentlyStrong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skillsExcellent organizational skillsKnowledge of SQL (Highly preferred)Knowledge of Python (preferred) or RKnowledge of Power BI (preferred)Collaborated well in both one-on-one and teamwork settingsGPA of 3.25+ (preferable major related)No previous experience requiredCertain peak periods may provide opportunity for overtime. This is a paid position. The internship will run for 12 weeks from May to August. Exact dates flexible based on school schedules.
