Business Intelligence Data Analyst
Business Intelligence Data Analyst Job Description: Sage is seeking a Business Intelligence Data Analyst to join its growing Global Routes to Revenue (“RTR”) Planning team. The RTR team is responsible for GTM planning and design, developing commercial models, revenue planning and creating an analytical framework to measure GTM performance. The Business Intelligence Data Analyst will assist across the Planning, Performance and Analytics pillars within the wider team. The successful candidate will have high levels of curiosity and be extremely willing to learn about commercial drivers and models across the business. They will also be used to working with data in an agile environment and be a confident presenter. We look for candidates who have some pre-existing expertise and supplement this with in-house training and experience to develop professionals of the highest caliber, who can bridge the gap between commercial drivers in finance, marketing, and operations. Key Responsibilities: • Ad hoc commercial modelling and analysis to assist with performance analysis and reviews • Work closely with stakeholders across the business to produce high quality analyses that drive actionable insights • Communicate findings, insights, and results in a clear, concise, and effective manner to senior management • Establish strong relationships with and become a key advisor to Sage’s GTM executives • Work effectively in diverse teams with an inclusive team culture where people are recognized for their contribution and support each other to learn and prosper. • Partner with finance, sales, and marketing teams to gain a rich understanding of business processes, analytics and reporting needs and gaps • Work on a global planning model for key Business Units across Sage and engaging with regional commercial teams to utilize these models. Qualifications • 1-2 years in a business reporting or analytics role, including using technology/tools for reporting and dashboard insights (SQL experience required, Power BI experience a plus) • Ability to manipulate, analyze and visualize data into value-add deep-dive analyses • Understanding of financial and commercial business drivers/KPIs • Proven analytical skills and systematic problem solving • Demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams and being able to work under own initiative under tight timeframes • Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify and explain complex problems to stakeholders For this role, in those locations, the target salary range for new hires is: $85,000 to $100,000. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either a bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, commission plan.
