POSITION SUMMARY:
Under minimal supervision, the Director of Business Intelligence, manages all aspects of the Data Analytics functions to include designing, developing, and implementing business intelligence solutions for the organization, helping to build the infrastructure and tools required to support and improve business operations and to achieve data reporting and analysis goals. Employees in this job class collaborate effectively with Program Executive Officers (PEOs), Program Integrators (PIs), and other members of leadership within the organization to improve existing solutions and implement new solutions that align with operational and growth goals of the organization. This job requires advanced understanding of data analytics, processes, and practices.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
1. * Plan, organize, and lead PRIDE’s business needs of providing organized data for management and leadership to make strategic and tactical operational, contractual, and financial decisions.2. * Collaborate with internal business stakeholders (customers), vendors, industry consultants and senior company management to define information needs, develop business cases and priorities, and manage service levels.3. * Lead the data analytics team to establish the ongoing development, enhancement, and operations of a business intelligence architecture that enables fact-based decision making and ad hoc analysis and insight.4. * Recommend, develop, and implement effective visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards with themes using latest features available in Power BI to guide users through a compelling data-driven story.5. * Lead the development of data controls for various data feeds and work with PRIDE’s Information Technology team to ensure the integrity of data.6. * Provides data organizational expertise and support to all areas of the organization, namely operations, contracts, and finance.7. Develop user guides to educate users on system functionality and train them as required.8. * Supervises employees; build and maintain a competent, motivated team through hiring, training, developing, counseling, and reviewing the performance of supervised employees with a focus on developing future leaders.9. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.* Denotes Essential Job Function
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Seven or more years of data collection and reporting with business analytics experience including five years in a supervisory role;- Supervisory skills to hire qualified employees, provide for their professional development, administer performance management and disciplinary processes effectively, and address employee relations appropriately;- Ability to effectively supervise and develop assigned team to meet production/service goals;- Self-motivated with strong organizational, multi-tasking, planning, and follow up skills;- Effective oral and written communication skills using appropriate business English;- Demonstrated organizational, common sense and problem-solving skills;- Human relation skills to build effective relationships with team and customers;- Effective customer service skills;- Advanced computer literacy including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software;- Advanced skills in data visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau;- Excellent attention to detail and ability to document information accurately;- Flexibility to respond to changing work priorities and handle numerous projects at the same time.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors in Business Administration or related field
CERTIFICATES REQUIRED:
The following licenses or certificates may be required depending on local, state and/or contract requirements:
Valid Driver's License
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:
• Viewing computer screen/monitor
• Keyboarding
• Answering phone/making calls
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a normal office environment with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise. Employees may be required to work in excess of 8 hours in a day and/or 40 hours per week.
