Description Amazon Pay Data and Analytics team is looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Manager with excellent technical and analytical abilities. If you are a self-starter, someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with a passion for building scalable long-term solutions, then you are the right candidate for our team. In this role, the candidate would work closely with tech teams and product/program across US, EU and JP to build scalable analytics and reporting solutions. The position is based in Bangalore. We seek a quick-learner who can quickly familiarize themselves with a fast-paced environment, build relationships with cross-functional teams, and assume ownership for a broad array of domains. Key job responsibilities * Develop long-term analytics strategy for programs and translate into an achievable road map/action plan * Centralize reporting and synthesize insights to deliver predictive insights and recommendations * Management of departmental resources, staffing, mentoring * Work with teams from across Amazon to improve data quality within their respective products and platforms * Work with software developers / data engineers to improve data quality and drive operational excellence for data ingestion, transformation and publication to ensure confidence in the systems we build. * Work closely with the engineers to design and develop the best technical solutions * Report on status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to management Professional traits that are not unique to this position, but necessary for Amazon leaders: * Exhibits excellent judgment * Hires and develops great people * Has relentlessly high standards (is never satisfied with the status quo) * Is able to dive deep and is never out of touch with the details of the business or the technology * Expects and requires innovation of her/his team * Has passion and convictions and the innate ability to inspire passion in others * Strong results Orientation * Thinks big Basic Qualifications - 7+ years of business intelligence and analytics experience - 5+ years of delivering results managing a business intelligence or analytics team, including employee development and performance management experience - Experience with SQL - Experience with ETL - Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools - Experience with R, Python, Weka, SAS, Matlab or other statistical/machine learning software Preferred Qualifications - 4+ years of working with very large data warehousing environment experience - 10+ years of data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments, data structures and hands-on SQL coding experience Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
