Business Lead data Analyst
**Role: Business Lead Analyst – data analysis, Excel, Reporting** **Location: Jersey City, NJ – 07310 (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)** **Position type: 12+ months with high possibility of extension/Conversion as FTE** **Pay range: $68 - $75/hr on W2** **Job description:** The Business Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within their field and contributes to directional strategy by considering the application in their own job and the business. They are a recognized technical authority for an area within the business and have basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. This individual will have a significant impact on the area through complex deliverables and will provide advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Their work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family. **Responsibilities:** • In-depth financial reporting and analysis on the Data Book of Work. • Understanding and articulating changes to the financial metrics and headcount associated with the data book of work • Tracking and rationalizing of change management process related to the Book of Work • Monitoring of Investment Requests and project-related financial measures across the data book of work • Providing day-to-day management of individual project responsibilities including milestone setting, task and action management, coordination and execution of plans within required timelines and to stakeholder quality expectations • Fostering and maintaining relationships with business stakeholders, support, testing and development team members • Identifying key project risks, whether stated or not, and managing to resolution or escalating accordingly • Acting as a subject matter expert for senior stakeholders and /or other team members • Appropriately assessing risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation. Safeguarding Client, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations; adhering to policy; applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices; and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. **Qualifications:** • 5-7 years of experience • Experience with excel and large data sets is a must • Must be extremely organized, motivated and a self-starter • Ability to prioritize is key as is ability to juggle several tasks at once • Must work well under pressure while remaining enthusiastic, hard-working and positive • Desire to improve processes • Track record as a Business Analyst within the Financial Services/Investment Banking industry • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to facilitate discussions • Ability to quickly grasp and master new concepts / requirements and related product / functional knowledge • Team player and relationship management skills • Ability to learn/understand some technical implications of system design • Willingness to ask questions, challenge the process and seek out answers • Ability to work independently, exercise judgement and autonomy, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision. **Education:** • Bachelor’s/University degree If this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
