Your role and responsibilities

Join us to play a key role in driving operational excellence and financial performance across global markets.Responsibilities•\tLead the financial management of the Global Business Line, ensuring full P&L accountability and aligning financial strategies with organizational goals.•\tManage and oversee financial reporting processes, including monthly closings, forecasts, and budgets, ensuring accuracy and compliance across Global and Local Business Lines.•\tAct as a trusted business partner to Global and Local Business Line Managers, providing insights, analytics, and actionable recommendations to drive performance and operational excellence.•\tEstablish and maintain robust governance frameworks and internal controls, ensuring adherence to compliance and regulatory standards within the Business Line.•\tMonitor and evaluate business performance, identifying risks, and implementing effective mitigation strategies to safeguard financial and operational health.•\tDrive cost optimization, productivity improvements, and capital efficiency through innovative solutions and forward-looking analytics to support data-driven decision-making.•\tProactively manage and optimize cash flow, implementing strategies to enhance Net Working Capital and financial sustainability.•\tCollaborate with cross-functional teams to foster transparency, alignment, and efficiency in decision-making and execution processes.•\tUphold ABB’s core values of safety, integrity, and collaboration, promoting a culture of accountability, respect, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications for the role

Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Management Accounting.7+ years of experience in a CFO role or equivalent, with prior experience as a Business Unit Controller considered a strong advantage.Extensive expertise in financial processes, tools, and business acumen, with a proven record of delivering impactful results in global and multi-cultural environments.Project controlling experience is preferred, showcasing the ability to manage complex projects and initiatives effectively.Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with a reputation for being a proactive and influential business partner.Fluency in English is mandatory; fluency in French or additional languages is an advantage.Flexibility to travel regularly (20-30% workload) to the business location in France or India if located elsewhere, ensuring consistent presence and engagement with business operations.Commitment to ABB’s values, including fostering a culture of safety, integrity, and innovation.
