Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a motivated Manager to supervise and coordinate daily activities of a group of Vendor Quality Assurance Auditors.

Responsible for the direction of activities for Quality Assurance reviews and assignment of work to review partner collection Vendors throughout the U.S. Investigate if U.S. Bank service level agreements and policies are being complied with by the various Vendors.

Prepares audit report findings and advises on improvements to controls. May be involved in hiring selection of new employees. Responsible for new employee orientation with respect to policies, procedures, and systems access. Responsible for employee review process. Reviews and analyzes the most complex processes and activities for the assigned areas. Must then be able to identify opportunities for improvements to control routines along with the appropriate suite of on-going self-audit and process control monitoring routines.

Must be able to help create and maintain a risk reporting suite that provides senior and line operations managers with on-going monitoring, trending, and analysis of key risk indicators, process control metrics, and exceptions.

Recommends and assists in implementing changes in policies, procedures, and processes to improve work quality and mitigate operational and regulatory risk, while limiting impact to productivity.

Responsible for maintaining a high degree of knowledge of appropriate laws and regulations for an assigned product specialty or geographic area.

Analyzes and interprets Federal, State, and other regulatory authorities’ rules and regulations.

Reviews and analyzes internal and external regulatory reports and coordinates with responsible parties to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Is actively involved in the development, implementation, and distribution of all regulatory or compliance policies and procedures.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Eight to ten years of related experience

 

Preferred Skills/Experience            

Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations (e.g. FDCPA, UDAAP, FCRA, SCRA).

Collections experience, knowledge of call center operations, auditing experience, and/or knowledge of the credit card or financial service industry preferred.

Direct supervisory experience managing Auditors.

Thorough knowledge of the products, policies, operations, and procedures related to the credit card and commercial default collection business, including consumer and commercial credit lending, debt collection techniques and collection systems

Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously

Strong writing, word processing, and spreadsheet analysis skills (i.e. Work/Excel/PowerPoint to produce reports and graphs to summarize and explain trends in compliance and process control exceptions).

Strong organization, analytical and project management skills.

Strong planning, implementation, and negotiation skills.

Effective interpersonal, verbal and communication skills.

Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications.

Travel Requirements: 10-20%

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $98,175.00 - $115,500.00 - $127,050.00
