**Position Specific Description**
The Analyst role supports leadership overseeing a power generating portfolio (primarily Wind, Solar and Storage), within a defined region of the U.S. and/or Internationally. In this role, the Analyst will assist leadership with the development of strategic plans and help to coordinate strategic initiatives through: financial/operational/technical analysis to support recommendations to Management, performing diligence to support Development and M&A teams, complying with reporting deadlines as well as ad hoc projects and report development. The candidate should have solid financial modeling skills and demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate (written and oral) with internal and external customer groups. Minimal travel required.
While a Bachelor’s Degree is required, we have found that candidates with an MBA, MFIN or CFA often excel in this role.
**Job Overview**
Employees in this role support the overall P and L management of one or more NextEra generating assets. This position support budgeting and forecasting, analyzing P and L variance, participating in ad hoc and special projects.
**Job Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Completes financial, operational, or technical project analysis
+ Conducts analyses regarding issues that have an impact on the operation of a specific functional area and makes recommendations to management
+ Maintains project schedules and reviews documents for technical accuracy
+ Performs ad hoc projects, report development, modeling, and other miscellaneous projects
+ Oversees discretionary capital improvement or restructuring projects for generating assets
+ Performs other job-related duties as assigned
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree
+ Experience: 2+ years
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
+ Master's - Business Administration
+ Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
