**Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):**
Master’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher). One (1) year of full-time experience to include accounting systems and/or budget/reconciliation. In lieu of the Master’s degree and 1 year of full-time experience, a Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher) and three (3) years of full-time experience to include accounting systems and/or budget/reconciliation may be considered.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
Master’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Business Administration or a related field. Experience with SBU accounting systems (SBU Reporting, SUNY BI, ERAS, RF Report Center). Experience with SBU systems (State, TMS, PeopleSoft, Student appointments, and timekeeping). Experience with SBUH policies and procedures, such as placing work orders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Apps.
**Brief Description of Duties:**
This position will function as the Business Manager for DLAR (Division of Laboratory Animal Resources) and will manage the department's administrative and financial affairs, grant administration, and lab/DVM supply orders.
+ Manage all division’s financial affairs (including purchasing, budgeting, accounting, and yearly budget fund transfers).
+ Responsible for all aspects of personnel administration, advising chairperson and faculty on related issues and regulations related to the Division of Laboratory Animal Resources.
+ Serve as departmental liaison between DLAR and campus-wide administrative office members.
+ Assist faculty with grant preparation and post-award details.
+ Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.
**Special Notes** :
This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
In addition to the employee's base salary, this position is eligible for $3,400 UUP annual location pay, paid biweekly.
