Business Manager - Medical
Description We are seeking a Business Manager in the Medical industry to join our team in Long Beach, California. In this role, you will play a vital part in overseeing the revenue cycle processes of our organization and will contribute significantly towards maintaining and enhancing our financial health. You will work closely with various stakeholders and departments, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, and implementing process improvements to boost efficiency and minimize costs. Responsibilities: • Ensure that our billing practices are in line with healthcare regulations and standards, including monitoring coding, documentation, and charge capture accuracy. • Collaborate with other relevant departments to develop and update fee schedules reflecting our pricing strategy and compliance with regulations. • Maintain data integrity in revenue cycle reporting and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement. • Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, thereby reducing denials and costs, and speeding up cash flow. • Work closely with various stakeholders such as third-party billing business partners, Clinical Documentation Improvement, Compliance, and Clinical Operations to ensure a seamless revenue cycle process. • Assist Clinical Operations in onboarding newly acquired provider groups to our outsourced revenue cycle vendor and proactively analyze individual providers to identify areas of improvement. • Coordinate ongoing training efforts for providers and staff on revenue integrity topics, including coding, documentation, and charge capture integrity. • Track key performance indicators related to the performance of the revenue cycle to ensure targets are met and identify areas needing attention. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role or related field. • Proficiency in Medical Billing is required. • Familiarity with UB04 form is expected. • Experience in Medical Collections is necessary. • Ability to handle Medical Appeals and Medical Denials. • Knowledge of HealthCare Revenue Cycle and Hospital Revenue Cycle is essential. • Demonstrated skills in Medical management. • Previous role as a Medical Manager will be beneficial. • Proficiency in Epic Hospital Billing is a requirement.
