Business Objects Report Developer

Job Duties:

 

·        Developing complex business reports based on high-level business requirements, Design, test and troubleshoot complex reports that include records stored in multiple rational database.

·        Ability to translate high-level business requirements into conceptual design and development of reports using advance SQL. Day to day interaction with data subject matter experts and business users.

·        Experience with Oracle/Business Objects/ClearCase

·        Recent strong experience in designing and developing reports.

·        Business Objects Report Development

·        Report migration from BO XI 3.1 to BO 4.1.

·        Report migration responsibility to convert/re-write and test 3.1 DESKI reports to 4.1 WEBI reports

·        Function as a BO Developer in Business Intelligence (BI) Projects for full life cycle activities: Scope, Design, and Development, Testing, Implementation.

·        Work closely and lead Application Teams, supporting Technical Staff, and Business Users to understand business requirements and issues towards determining optimal BI approach.

·        Responsible for the design and creation of objects (application system), diagnosing and repairing User issues and system performance issues, testing, monitoring and tuning of application systems and related software.

·        Provide consultative skills on departmental applications that have BI components.

·        Define, document, implement, and communicate BI solution standards and methodology.

·        Apply, comply, and refine BI Reporting and Dashboards best practices and standards.

·        Participation in educating IT Teams and Business Users on BI best practices and concepts.

·        Ideal candidate will have experience with experience Data Marts, Xcelsius, Live Office and Tableau

·        Firm understanding of database systems, ETL, Web Reporting, and executive dashboard concepts.

·        Good organization skills and possess ability to assemble business information.

·        Ability to understand and interpret business and technical requirements and propose viable BI solutions.

·        Experience in process flow mapping and requirements analysis.

·        Strong analytical and communication skills.

·        Excellent communication and presentation skills; including the delivery and creation of presentations

·        Ability to work with Senior Management, IT staff, and extended User community.

·        High degree of initiative, dependability and ability to work with minimal supervision.

 

 Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Information Systems, Computer Science or related or foreign Equivalent
