Business Office Manager

Country Gardens Health & Rehabilitation Center, a skilled nursing facility in Swansea, MA, is currently seeking a full-time candidate for the Business Office Manager position.  This position requires either a high school degree or a BA in Accounting or Business with a minimum of 1 year of experience working in the business office of a healthcare facility.

Duties include:

• Prepares Managed Care, Mass Health, Private Pay, Coinsurance and Patient Liability billing

• Sets up and maintains financial files for resident billing, admission papers, State and Medicare documents

• Meets with residents/families and assists in the Medicaid Application process

• Performs routine collection calls to Managed Care carriers and responsible parties 

• Follows up on outstanding balances, resolves issues and submits corrected claims when required

• Inputs documentation on all collection activity into PCC

• Prepares daily census

• Reviews Payor Source Verification forms and ensures the patients set-up in PCC is accurate

• Directs processing of accounts receivable adjustments/refunds

• Posts all cash receipts, scans all checks received by the facility

• Enters withdrawals and deposits into RFMS

• Attends Medicare and Managed Care Meetings

• Completes Rep Payee forms

• Updates PCC with any changes in PPA

• Manages the month-end process which includes:

o      Data Entry

o      Census reconciliation 

o      Balancing cash collections

o      Reviews claims and edits as needed

o      Ensures all procedures are followed to achieve an accurate and timely month-end close

• Oversight and processing of all accounts payable

• Oversight of weekday and weekend receptionists

• Distributers and audits Petty Cash

• Meets weekly with Administrator on past due Private and Medicaid Pending accounts

• Prepares A/R and attends monthly meetings

• Open and distributes mail

• Performs additional duties as assigned

 

Requirements Include: 

• Must have 1-3 years’ experience managing the business office of a healthcare facility (SNF preferred)

• Preferred experience with Point Click Care Software & Claimremedi

• Candidates must be detail oriented with excellent computer skills
